A group of transportation professionals first met in the mid 1980's to share ideas about the use of technology within their industry and launched an initiative called Mobility 2000.  Further evolving into the Intelligent Vehicle Highway System (IVHS) and then the Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) program, the use of technology is now being mainstreamed into all modes of transportation.

MobilityTech, LLC was founded in late 2015 to support the growing use of technology applications within transportation initiatives.  The company provides management consulting to both public and private ITS, transportation engineering and construction organizations. ​
